O.J. Howard Expected To Make More Splash Plays
6 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers second-year tight end O.J. Howard is expected to rise and meet the lofty expectations he had in his rookie year in 2017 as a first-round pick. "I definitely am expecting it. I know he is," tight ends coach Ben Steele said. "We talk about 'the great ones show up every single day.' He has it in him. We are definitely demanding that out of him this season.'" Howard had a few big moments as a rookie, but he was more inconsistent than anything. While he was tied for the most touchdowns as a rookie with six, Howard only had 26 catches on 39 targets for 432 yards. He's staying after practices to work with offensive coordinator Todd Monkey on his routes and attention to detail. Howard is a freak athlete with plenty of upside, but his fantasy value is capped with the presence of Cameron Brate.
