O.J. Howard Could Be Traded Soon
5 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers are trying to trade tight end O.J. Howard, a league source told NFL Network's Michael Lombardi. "I think Howard's got a great name, but I think there's an instinctive issue going on. I think he's going to be available," Lombardi said. Howard was one of the biggest fantasy busts at tight end in 2019, especially with quarterback Jameis Winston leading the league in passing yards and touchdowns thrown. The 25-year-old caught just 34 passes for 459 yards and one touchdown in 14 games. Cameron Brate would become an attractive low-end TE1 if Howard were to be traded away, especially with Tom Brady now in town. Howard will be worth a flier as a TE2 if he remains in Tampa, but a change of scenery may be best for him at this point.
