No Timetable For Trea Turner
6 years agoThe Washington Nationals don't have a timetable for shortstop Trea Turner's return after he broke his right index finger on a hit by pitch on Tuesday night, according to general manager Mike Rizzo. The Nats will wait for Turner's bone to heal, and in the meantime Wilmer Difo is expected to hold down the shortstop duties. Difo is a good defender with the glove, but he's a light hitter (career 74 OPS+) and isn't much of a fantasy option. Turner's hot start at the dish to begin the year makes his injury all the more frustrating for fantasy owners and the Nationals alike. He needs to be stashed in all formats. Keep your fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.
