No Structural Damage For Le'Veon Bell
5 years agoNew York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell's (ankle, knee) MRI exam showed no structural damage, according to head coach Adam Gase. Bell was held out of practice as a precaution on Wednesday, but the Jets feel that he won't miss Week 10 against the Giants. He saw 25 touches (17 carries, eight catches) in Week 9, the most since he touched the ball 29 times in a Week 2 loss to the Browns. Bell currently has a career-low 3.3 yards per carry and is on pace for just two rushing touchdowns, so it's an understatement to say he's underperformed for fantasy owners. He has another get-right opportunity with the Giants coming to town this Sunday. Treat Bell as an RB1/2 for that one, although Ty Montgomery could see a little more work spelling Bell if he isn't 100 percent.
