No Restrictions For Willie Calhoun
5 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Willie Calhoun (jaw), who suffered a fractured jaw in spring training, has no restrictions in his workouts, and general manager Jon Daniels said that Calhoun is focused on regaining is strength and is getting back into his conditioning program. We've had several recent updates on Calhoun since he had surgery on his jaw, and he's progressing very nicely. Whenever the 2020 season begins, the 25-year-old should be ready to roll as an everyday outfielder in Texas. Calhoun hit .269 with 21 home runs and 48 RBI in just 309 at-bats in 2019, showing that he has plenty of upside in his hitter-friendly home park. He's a very nice target in the later rounds of mixed league drafts now that he'll be healthy for the start of the season.
