Nikola Jokic Comes Up Big At Both Ends Of The Court
3 years agoDenver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic scored 28 points and delivered a game-winning block in Saturday's 95-94 victory against the Rockets. Denver managed to erase a five-point deficit inside the final two minutes of regulation and took the lead with an Aaron Gordon triple. Houston had the final attack and Jae'Sean Tate found himself with a great chance to win it for the Rockets, but Jokic denied him with his only block of the game. The Joker also had two steals on the defensive end and pulled down 14 rebounds while handing out two assists. He shot 9-for-15 from the field and was 9-for-11 at the line with a 1-for-3 record from downtown. Houston has been crushed by bigs all year, so Jokic took full advantage of a very favorable matchup. The next meeting with Miami is going to be a lot tougher, although Jokic tends to get his no matter who he's up against.
