Nick Senzel Could Play Center Field In 2019
6 years agoCincinnati Reds third base prospect Nick Senzel is a candidate to play center field in 2019 after the team non-tendered Billy Hamilton on Friday, making him a free agent. Senzel is the team's top prospect and No. 6 overall in baseball, but he's been in infielder his entire college and professional career so far. Scott Schebler is another candidate to take over in center field for the time being. An injury limited Senzel to just 44 games with Triple-A Louisville in 2018, but he hit .310/.378/.509 with six home runs and 25 RBI and should be up with the Reds early in 2019, assuming good health. He should already be owned in dynasty leagues and would be even more attractive in redraft formats if he added outfield eligibility.
