6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Nick Mullens will make the start under center for the second straight game on Monday night in Week 10 against the Giants. This isn't much of a surprise after Mullens burst on the scene last Thursday and demolished the lowly Raiders, but it's now official. C.J. Beathard has shown flashes filling in for Jimmy Garoppolo (knee), but he was coming off two poor games and suffered a wrist injury that made it difficult for him to grip the football. Mullens could easily struggle in his second career start and the Niners could turn back to Beathard eventually, but for now it's Mullens' job to run with. The Giants present another nice opportunity for Mullens to succeed, too, putting him on the map as a QB2 streamer in two-QB leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
