5 years agoChicago White Sox infield prospect Nick Madrigal, the fourth overall pick in last year's draft, is being promoted to Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday. Madrigal is ranked by MLB Pipeline as the team's No. 5 prospect and No. 43 overall in baseball. The 22-year-old former Oregon State Beaver earned the promotion by hitting .341/.400/.451 with a homer, 16 RBI and 14 steals in 42 games for Double-A Birmingham. He's one of the best pure hitters in the minors and is quickly rising through Chicago's farm system for a reason. Madrigal doesn't possess a ton of power, but his line-drive approach and plus speed should make him a fantasy asset as early as 2020.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
