Nick Foles Being Traded To Bears
5 years agoThe Chicago Bears are acquiring quarterback Nick Foles from the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday in exchange for a compensatory fourth-round pick, according to sources. Foles will now be in a competition with Mitch Trubisky for the starting gig under center to begin the 2020 season. Jacksonville whiffed big by signing Foles to a big free-agent contract last year. He broke his collarbone in Week 1 and was benched in favor of rookie Gardner Minshew when he returned. It looks like Minshew will be the Jags starter heading into 2020. Trubisky backtracked in 2019 and has been a glorified game manager so far in the NFL. Foles could be an upgrade of sorts, but he'll still be a low-end QB2 in fantasy circles if he's starting games in Chicago.
