Nick Chubb Sees Immediate Boost
6 years agoCleveland Browns rookie running back Nick Chubb will see his role boosted significantly with the team trading Carlos Hyde to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday. Chubb has 173 yards on just 16 carries (10.8 yards per carry) and two scores in six games this year, but he just wasn't seeing enough work behind Hyde and Duke Johnson to be a starting fantasy option. He sure will be now, and he'll be in play as a strong RB2 immediately in Week 7 against a poor Buccaneers defense that'll be without defensive tackle Gerald McCoy on the interior. Johnson's fantasy value also will receive a big boost, especially in PPR leagues. The Browns could target him more often with Rashard Higgins (knee) out for another week and Derrick Willies (collarbone) on Injured Reserve.
