6 years agoMinnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz wasn't in the starting lineup on Friday for the start of an interleague series in Philadelphia. The veteran slugger only appeared in right field in four games last season with the Mariners, so don't expect him to start much on Minnesota's current interleague road trip to the National League. Cruz is tied for the team lead in hits (six) and also has a team-leading six RBI through five games. He's hoping to start one game in the outfield this weekend, but it remains to be seen if that will happen.
