12 months agoJapanese pitcher Naoyuki Uwasawa is expected to be posted soon by the Nippon Ham Fighters of Nippon Professional Baseball team. Uwasawa's strikeout rates haven't been excellent in Japan, but he has interesting characteristics to some of his pitches. His fastball movement and spin rate would be in the top 5-10 percent in Major League Baseball. The 29-year-old right-hander went 9-9 with a 2.96 ERA, 124 strikeouts and 41 walks in 170 innings for the Ham Fighters last season. Uwasawa has a low-90s fastball and probably won't get a ton of swings and misses, which isn't going to make him a top target in fantasy in 2024 if he makes the move to the States.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
