3 years agoThe Colorado Rockies activated relief pitcher Mychal Givens (back) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday and optioned left-hander Ben Bowden to Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move. Givens has been out since June 17 with a lower back strain, but he'll return to Colorado's bullpen with a nice 2.78 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 25/11 K/BB in 22 2/3 relief innings this season. The 31-year-old right-hander and former Baltimore Orioles closer doesn't have any saves this year and is only relevant in deeper leagues that count holds and saves, but it's always risky to rely on a Colorado reliever at hitter-friendly Coors Field as well.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
