Mookie Betts Hits Two Homers In Victory
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs in Wednesday's victory versus the Houston Astros. Betts hit both of his homers in the bottom of the first and second innings off of Jake Odorizzi. Betts has been hitting the ball very well since returning from the injured list on Sunday and has now hit three homers in his last three games. Betts has also been playing second base and gaining eligibility there would be a huge score for managers. The talented outfielder has dealt with injuries throughout the year, but it looks like he's finally living up to his preseason value. Betts is now hitting .274 with 17 home runs, 43 RBI and seven stolen bases.
