Monday Is Firm Deadline For Russell Wilson
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has set Monday, April 15, as the firm, real deadline for a contract extension to be reached. Nothing has happened as of now, but Wilson's agent has been in the Seattle area for the last three days trying to get something done. It's expected that Wilson will be the highest paid player in the NFL if an extension gets done, but there's no guarantee that will happen and the Seahawks could place the franchise tag on him next year if an extension isn't agreed upon. Wilson would also like his salaries tied to the future salary caps. Wilson had a career-high 35 touchdown passes last year and remains a strong QB1 in an offense that ran the ball more than any other team in 2018.
