Mitchell Trubisky Will Get First Shot In Practices
5 years agoChicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy, who said he will continue to be the team's play-caller in 2020, said that quarterback Mitchell Trubisky will be the first QB in the huddle when the team runs their first snap of practice together. “And it’s been loud and clear with those guys—again, we’re over-communicating clarity—Mitchell’s gonna be in the huddle for Day 1, Play 1,” Nagy said. Nick Foles was added in a trade from Jacksonville and is expected to win the starting job under center, but both signal-callers have experience with Nagy and this offense. Foles has shown more upside than Nagy, helping the Eagles win a Super Bowl and taking home MVP honors, but neither QB is much more than fantasy depth as a QB2 in 2020.
