Mitchell Marner Makes Franchise History In Sunday's Win
3 years agoToronto Maple Leafs right wing Mitchell Marner has become the fastest player in franchise history to reach 300 career assists. He needed just 411 outings to hit the milestone, beating Borje Salming's record of 469 games. Marner ended up finishing Sunday's 5-2 win over Florida with his 18th career three-assist performance. Toronto continues to score goals for fun and Marner is playing a major part in it. He's put together a six-game point streak that includes 12 points in total. Marner averages a career-high 1.32 points per game for the season, and he's got every chance of breaking the 90-point mark for the second time in his career despite missing 11 games.
