Mitch Haniger Slowed By Back
5 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger (back) was still experiencing back soreness on Monday and wasn't with Triple-A Tacoma. Manager Scott Servais said that Haniger's status is like being at the onset of spring training, so it's fair to wonder if Haniger will even play in the big leagues again this year. The 2018 breakout has been out since June 6 after rupturing his testicle. It's been a hugely disappointing season as a result, and he's hit .220/.314/.463 with 15 home runs, 46 runs, 32 RBI and four stolen bases in only 63 games. If you can't afford the roster spot any longer, we wouldn't blame you in getting rid of Haniger in shallow mixed leagues.
