Mitch Haniger Shut Down Again
5 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger (back, groin) will be temporarily shut down again to wait for his back issues to clear up. It's usually never a good year with you rupture a testicle. Haniger has been out since that happened on June 6, and it's looking like he won't be able to contribute for fantasy owners the rest of the way. His breakout in 2018 led to him being a popular pick in 2019 drafts, but he has disappointed by hitting .220/.314/.463 with 15 home runs, 46 runs, 32 RBI and four steals in his 63 games. Well out of contention and with both Haniger and Domingo Santana injured, the Mariners will get a long look at outfield prospect Jake Fraley the rest of the way.
