5 years agoThe Seattle Mariners are placing outfielder Mitch Haniger (testicle) on the 10-day injured list on Friday with a ruptured testicle and are calling up reliever Tayler Scott from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move. Ouch. The Mariners also recently placed outfielder prospect Braden Bishop on the injured list with a lacerated spleen, so they've had some bad luck of late and are extremely thin in the outfield after trading Jay Bruce to the Phillies last weekend. Mac Williamson will become a regular in Seattle's outfield but should only be owned in AL-only leagues. Haniger has 15 homers, 46 runs, 32 RBI and four steals, but his .220 average has been a disappointment after last year's breakout.
