Mitch Garver Injured Wednesday
6 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Mitch Garver (head) was removed for precautionary reasons on Wednesday after he took a foul tip off his mask. However, initial tests showed that he didn't suffer a concussion. Garver didn't have an official plate appearance before leaving the game. Even if he avoids a concussion, expect the Twins to rest him for their next game. Garver is batting .260/.330/.404 with seven home runs and 39 RBI in 325 plate appearances this year. Willians Astudillo came in to replace him and could get the start on Thursday.
