Miles Sanders In Position To Be No. 1 Back In Philly
5 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders looks "entrenched" as the team's No. 1 running back heading into the 2020 season, according to The Athletic's Zach Berman. The Eagles didn't address the position at all in the draft last week, and change-of-pace option Boston Scott and Elijah Holyfield are the only other backs behind Sanders currently. The second-round pick last year didn't see consistent work behind Jordan Howard in the first half of his rookie season, but he became the lead back in both the running and passing game when Howard got hurt. Sanders finished with 179 carries for 818 yards and three touchdowns while adding 50 receptions for 509 yards and another three scores in 11 starts. With Howard in Miami and Philly's passing game upgraded, Sanders should be a strong RB1 candidate for fantasy owners.
