Miles Mikolas Won't Pitch On Monday As Scheduled
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas (elbow) will not pitch in a simulated game on Monday as he was scheduled to do. Cardinals manager Mike Schildt said the decision was made out of caution "for now" but did not provide much more clarity. Teams are always very careful with their pitchers at this point in the spring, so while it is likely nothing to worry about, it is still worth keeping an eye on Mikolas throughout the spring. Mikolas will have mixed league back-of-the-rotation value if he's healthy. That's a big if at this point though, as Mikolas is returning after missing time with an elbow issue.
