6 years agoTampa Bay Rays catcher Mike Zunino (quadriceps) could be out for four to five weeks, according to manager Kevin Cash. With Michael Perez also out two to three weeks, the Rays acquired backstop Travis D'Arnaud from the Dodgers on Friday to give them more depth alongside rookies Nick Ciuffo and Anthony Bemboom. d'Arnaud has the most offensive upside of the trio but still is unattractive outside of deep AL-only and two-catcher leagues. Zunino will never carry a high average due to his swing-and-miss ways, but he's a fine power source at the catching position when he's healthy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
