Mike Williams Has Big Red-Zone Role
6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams said he's being used often in the red zone and is gaining chemistry with quarterback Philip Rivers. "I've got a big role in the red zone right now," Williams said. "Henry was a big red zone threat, and that's a spot where I can help. So we're working on a lot of that stuff right now." Williams' rookie year was defined by injury, as he played in just 10 games and had 11 catches for 95 yards and no touchdowns. But he should have a much larger role in 2018, especially with tight end Hunter Henry (knee) out for the year. Williams will probably be more touchdown-dependent for fantasy owners, but he's worthy of a look in the later rounds.
