Mike Trout Won't Play This Weekend
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout's (groin) appointment with doctors on Friday showed a "reduced amount of swelling," but he'll remain in Anaheim and won't play at least until Monday. He will be re-evaluated on Sunday. While it will hurt whenever you can't use the superstar in your fantasy lineups, the good news is that Trout's injury isn't severe and the Angels are trying to keep him healthy for the long season. He's sporting an elite slash line of .406/.592/.938 with five homers and 12 RBI to begin the year. Peter Bourjos figures to patrol center field this weekend in Trout's place, but he isn't much to look at from a fantasy perspective.
