Mike Trout Going For Precautionary MRI
5 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (calf) will have a precautionary MRI exam on Monday after exiting early with right calf tightness on Sunday, according to manager Brad Ausmus. Trout's injury isn't believed to be very serious, however, so there's a good chance he's back in the starting lineup on Monday against the Astros if nothing unexpected shows up on the MRI. The 27-year-old superstar remains an elite fantasy asset and is hitting an absurd .305/.455/.666 with 20 doubles, one triple, 30 home runs, 74 runs scored, 75 RBI and eight steals in 10 tries over 402 plate appearances this year. He's been especially hot in the month of July.
