Mike Trout Doesn't Need MRI
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (groin) downplayed the severity of his groin strain and said that he didn't need an MRI exam. It looks as though he'll take the day off on Wednesday and return on Friday after the scheduled off day on Thursday. Trout was 2-for-2 on Tuesday night but strained his groin running the bases. The Angels and Trout's fantasy owners have to be letting out a sigh of relief, as he's the best player in baseball. The 27-year-old is hitting an other-worldly .406/.592/.938 with five home runs, eight runs scored, 12 RBI and one steal in his first 32 at-bats of the season. Peter Bourjos will likely man center field on Wednesday.
