Mike Moustakas To See Time At Second Base
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell said that third baseman Mike Moustakas will be looked at at second base in camp. Moose signed a one-year, $10 million deal to return to Milwaukee on Sunday and should see most of his time at the hot corner again, while Travis Shaw figures to be the primary second baseman. Moustakas dropped off a bit in 2018 after slugging a career-high 38 homers in 2017, but he still managed a useful .251/.315/.459 line with 28 homers and 95 RBI in 152 games. Returning to Milwaukee is good news for his fantasy value, and he'll be worth picking up in the late middle rounds as a corner infielder in mixed leagues.
