Mike Foltynewicz Looks Good In Rehab Start
6 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Mike Foltynewicz (elbow) gave up no hits and only two baserunners in five scoreless innings in his rehab start with Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday. He struck out two and walked two and didn't show any issues with his right elbow. Folty's fastball velocity ranged between 92-96 mph. He's expected to make one more rehab start before making his season debut with the Braves. The 27-year-old had a breakout 2018 season (2.85 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, 9.9 K/9), but fantasy owners shouldn't expect a repeat necessarily. Folty's return will likely mean that Kyle Wright will head back to the minors for more seasoning.
