Miguel Cabrera On Track For Spring Training
6 years agoDetroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera (biceps) is on track to be ready in time for the start of spring training, according to general manager Al Avila. Cabrera missed the final three and a half months of the season after he had surgery to fix a ruptured left biceps tendon. Miggy hit .299/.395/.448 in just 134 at-bats this year, but his power was way down with just three home runs and 22 RBI. Risk of injury will be a big reason why Cabrera falls in fantasy drafts in 2019, and he'll be 36 next April. He hasn't reached 20 home runs in three of the last four years either. However, Miggy could be a value play in the later rounds if he can stay healthy next season.
