Miguel Cabrera Dealing With Back Tightness
3 years agoDetroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera (back) was removed from Monday's game against the Chicago White Sox after experiencing back tightness. He went 0-for-2 with an RBI in the game before being replaced by Harold Castro. After the game, Tigers manager A.J. Hinch told reporters that Cabrera's removal was precautionary and that he didn't believe the back injury was anything serious. The 38-year-old veteran has slashed .257/.318/.391 with 15 home runs, 71 RBI and 47 runs over 122 games this year. He should be considered day-to-day with a good chance of sitting out on Tuesday.
