Michael Pineda Has Torn Meniscus
6 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Michael Pineda (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of the year with a torn meniscus in his right knee. Pineda was returning from Tommy John surgery and had looked good on his rehab assignment, but unfortunately he'll have to wait until 2019 to make an impact for the Twins. Pineda last pitched in the majors for the Yankees in 2017 and went 8-4 with a 4.39 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 8.6 K/9 across 17 starts. He'll certainly be an option for the team's rotation next year if he's healthy.
