Michael Conforto In Midst Of 1-For-17 Slump
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto has been struggling at the plate over the last week. He's gone 1-for-17 with two walks and six strikeouts over his last seven games. It's been a rough year overall for Conforto, who is slashing .197/.326/.327 with six home runs, 24 RBI and 21 runs over 71 games. He has an xBA of .244 and an xSLG of .412. Neither of those marks are great, but they at least suggest that his ugly surface stats aren't nearly as high as they should be. His plate discipline has been as good as ever this year as he ranks in the 90th percentile in chase rate and in the 91st percentile in walk rate. Things will get better for him going forward. Fantasy managers should remain patient.
