Mets Won't Trade Noah Syndergaard
5 years agoThe New York Mets have pulled starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard off the trade market, according to a source. With Thor under team control through 2021, the Mets weren't in a rush to trade the hard-throwing right-hander to begin with. Syndergaard also helped his cause by striking out 11 in 7 1/3 innings of shutout baseball in his start against the White Sox on Tuesday. He's been somewhat disappointing and up and down in 2019 with a 4.10 ERA, but Thor still remains useful for his strikeouts in all leagues. He's fanned 137 batters in 134 innings over 21 starts.
