2 years agoThe New York Mets and Chicago White Sox are among the teams looking to add a left-handed reliever at the trade deadline, and Detroit Tigers left-hander Andrew Chafin is of interest to both teams, according to sources. He's owed the rest of his $6 million salary this year and $7 million in 2023. The 32-year-old veteran southpaw has been very solid for the Tigers in relief this year, posting a 2.53 ERA and 1.06 WHIP while striking out 39 and walking just 10 hitters in 32 innings of work out of Detroit's bullpen. Chafin has also recorded one save, although he wouldn't be in line for ninth-inning duties with either the Mets or White Sox.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
