Melvin Gordon Will Report In 6-8 Weeks
5 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon, who missed all of training camp and the preseason while holding out for a new contract, plans to report in the window that spans from Week 6 through Week 8, according to sources. He must report by Week 10 to have the 2019 season count toward free agency next year. If Gordon isn't franchise-tagged, he'd be one of the top free agents in 2020. It's further bad news for Gordon's fantasy stock, but he must remain stashed on all benches. Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson are set to share the backfield workload in Gordon's absence, with Ekeler having more fantasy appeal. Ekeler will be an RB2 in Week 1 against the Colts.
