6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon (knee) is dealing with an MCL injury after leaving the Week 12 win over the Cardinals in the third quarter, according to a source. Gordon will be re-evaluated on Monday, but there is a real possibility that he will miss next Sunday night's game against the Steelers. Gordon would've likely been rested in the second half with a commanding lead, but he was injured and continues to deal with lower-body injuries. There's a chance he could miss multiple games, which could be devastating for his fantasy owners trying to secure a playoff spot in the next week. If Gordon misses any time, Austin Ekeler would become a strong RB2 play in a projected shootout with Pittsburgh. Gordon rushed 10 times for 61 yards and two touchdowns and caught two passes for five yards before departing, so he was able to help his owners out. Ekeler rushed five times for 35 yards and a score and caught 10 of his 11 targets in the passing game for 68 yards.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
