Mecole Hardman Impresses Andy Reid
6 years agoKansas City Chiefs rookie wide receiver Mecole Hardman, a second-round pick, impressed head coach Andy Reid during rookie minicamp this weekend. Reid said that Hardman's route running was brutal at first, but the speedster continued to improve each time he ran routes. There's a good possibility that Tyreek Hill is suspended indefinitely by the league or released altogether, so Hardman could be in line for a huge role in his rookie season behind Sammy Watkins. Hardman is also a fine special teams return man, so he'll likely have a role there as well. He'll need to learn Reid's complex system quickly, but he'll have immediate value in redraft leagues. However, don't overvalue him just because he's taking throws from stud quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
