5 years agoThe Houston Astros placed catcher Max Stassi (knee) on the 10-day injured list on Sunday and recalled catcher Garrett Stubbs from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move. Stassi's knee is structurally sound, but the team didn't want to play short-handed. Stubbs, the team's No. 12 prospect per MLB Pipeline, will make his first big league start on Tuesday and will catch starter Corbin Martin. Stubbs was hitting .250 with four doubles, four home runs, seven RBI and an .804 OPS in 28 games on the farm before his call-up. Stassi thinks he'll be able to return when his 10 days are up, so Stubbs doesn't figure to be around for very long.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
