Max Scherzer Strikes Out Nine On Tuesday
4 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Max Scherzer suffered a tough loss in Tuesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. Scherzer pitched seven innings and allowed five hits, one walk and two earned runs while striking out nine. Both of the Reds' runs came on solo home runs. The Nationals could only manage one run in the game, so Scherzer was dealt his third loss of the year, dropping him to 4-3. Scherzer has a stellar 2.27 ERA and 0.85 over 10 starts on the year. His next start will be on Sunday against the Milwaukee Brewers.
