Max Scherzer Plays Catch Tuesday
5 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Max Scherzer (back) played some catch in the outfield on Tuesday and could be activated from the injured list as soon as this Saturday. The All-Star ace looks to be making good progress, but the Nationals may be a bit more cautious with their dominant right-hander. The 34-year-old is 9-5 on the season with a 2.30 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 181 strikeouts in 129 1/3 innings over his 19 starts. The good news is he should be back relatively soon and will immediately be a must-start hurler again.
