Max Scherzer Looks Good In Final Tune-Up
6 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Max Scherzer allowed three runs in seven innings against the Marlins in his final Grapefruit League start before the regular season on Friday, striking out 12 and walking none. No pitcher had recorded as many strikeouts in a spring training game in nearly four years, when Tyson Ross had 12 K's for the Padres in 2015. Scherzer led the majors with 300 strikeouts and continues to be a perennial Cy Young contender. He's a sure-fire ace and remains the top fantasy starter on the board in the first round.
