Max Muncy Out Of Wednesday's Lineup
1 year agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder Max Muncy will take a seat on Wednesday against the Colorado Rockies. Muncy returned from a hamstring injury that landed him on the injured list on Tuesday and went 0-for-3 in his first game back. The Dodgers are giving him an extra day of rest against a left-handed hurler, but he'll most likely be available to pinch hit in this game. The 33-year-old left-handed hitter is batting just .189 (40-for-212) on the season, but he has contributed 18 home runs, 45 RBI and 40 runs scored in 61 games. Despite the embarrassingly low batting average, Muncy remains valuable to managers in mixed leagues because of his power and run production in a strong Dodgers lineup. Yonny Hernandez is starting at third and batting ninth against Rockies lefty Kyle Freeland.
