Max Meyer To Start Throwing Soon
2 years agoMiami Marlins right-hander Max Meyer (elbow) said that he will "start getting ready to throw here soon in a couple weeks." Meyer underwent Tommy John surgery last August after making his first two major-league starts in 2022. A return late in the 2023 season can't be ruled out, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect the 23-year-old to do much this year while recovering from elbow reconstruction. He is the team's No. 2 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and has a bright future ahead of him once his elbow injury is fully in the rearview mirror. Meyer's physique isn't exactly intimidating on the mound, but he has a nasty slider and has shown better command in recent seasons. He's a fine dynasty/keeper league stash for now.
