5 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler is not in the starting lineup on Friday a day after slugging three home runs. Marwin Gonzalez will start in right field and will hit sixth against Tigers left-handed starting pitcher Matt Boyd. Kepler has been raking atop a great Twins lineup this year and should be started anytime he's in the lineup. He's just getting a breather with a lefty on the mound. The switch-hitting Gonzalez is batting a nice .304 (14-for-46) with two home runs on the year against lefties, although Boyd has been one of the tougher southpaws in the big leagues this season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
