Matt Manning Surrenders Nine Runs On Monday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Manning was bombarded by the Cleveland Indians offense in his third major league start on Monday. Manning pitched 3 2/3 innings and allowed nine hits and nine earned runs while striking out two. Things had gone decently well for Manning in his first two starts, as he gave up just four earned runs over 10 2/3 innings. If there is any silver lining for Manning on Monday, it's that he didn't surrender a walk for the first time this year. He'd walked exactly two batters in each of his first two starts. Manning still has a lot to prove before he's worth rostering in season-long fantasy leagues. His next start will be next Monday against the Texas Rangers.
