Matt Harvey Suffers Gluteus Strain
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Matt Harvey (gluteus) suffered a glute strain during agility drills in camp and will be out for around a week and a half. Manager Brad Ausmus said that Harvey should still be ready for the start of the season. Formerly known as the Dark Knight, Harvey is now approaching 30 years old and had an ERA just below 5.00 in 2018 in 155 innings with the Mets and Reds. Anything he can give the Angels on his one-year deal will be nice for a rotation that needs some help, but Harvey's upside is extremely limited these days. His home park is a nice environment for pitchers, but he can be avoided in mixed leagues.
