Matt Carpenter Removed From Game Wednesday
6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals infielder Matt Carpenter was removed from the game early on Wednesday due to nausea. Carpenter walked twice in his two plate appearances before leaving the contest. It's unknown what's exactly bothering him, but we'll pass along details when we know more. With Kolten Wong and Jedd Gyorko both landing on the disabled list this week, the Cardinals can ill afford an extended absence from their best hitter. Carpenter's fantasy owners hope this isn't a serious issue, too, as he's hitting .274 on the season with 34 home runs, 88 runs and 71 RBI.
